Geluidsmonitoring station

CUBE is het nieuwste geluidsmonitoring station van 01dB, ontworpen om aan de behoeften te voldoen voor allerlei toepassingen. CUBE kan gemakkelijk worden aangepast aan elke situatie: draagbaar in een koffer, stationair in een vaste kast, en is compatibel met de 01dB Webmonitoring diensten.

01dB ecosysteem

Het 01dB ecosysteem gaat over de synergie tussen de diverse producten uit de nieuwe range: ORION, FUSION, DUO en CUBE. 4 instrumenten, 4 toepassingsgebieden, maar één ecosysteem gericht op het verbeteren van uw productiviteit. Zij werken allemaal op dezelfde manier ten opzichte van het geïntegreerde toetsenbord en webinterface. Zij maken gebruik van dezelfde data processing software, en ze maken allemaal gebruik van dezelfde accessoires. Deze complete en innovatieve systemen bieden eenvoudige en intuïtieve interfaces om zo grote tijdsbesparing te garanderen voor de gebruikers.

Gegarandeerde metrologie

CUBE is een volgens IEC-61672 klasse 1 gecertificeerd meetsysteem en is goedgekeurd in tal van landen. Tijdens het monitoren van geluid kunnen er meerdere geluidsbronnen worden gemeten komend uit verschillende posities ten opzichte van het meetpunt (bijv. verkeer, vliegtuigen, geluid van fabrieken of bouwlawaai). CUBE kan worden gebruikt om metingen uit te voeren in twee referentie richtingen: 0° of 90°.

Kalibratie en verificatie

To simplify the installation of CUBE on the site, a function for the automatic detection of a calibration acoustic source allows the performance of a calibration and adjustments without the user needing to do anything more than switch the device on. Furthermore, to ensure proper operation, an integrated measurement-chain verification system performs periodic checks. Electrical verification allows the testing of the entire measurement chain, including the microphone. It consists of injecting an alternating sinusoidal load on the microphone’s terminals at the selected frequencies at one or two levels. The principle is to read reference values and check the deviation with respect to other measured values over time.

Sophisticated events module

CUBE incorporates the most sophisticated event-detection filter system, from the simplest to the most complex configuration. At a basic level, the user can define an event, comprising a trigger that can be programmed over a maximum of 24 time periods. All parameters (overall level, spectral level, sliding Leq, meteorological parameters, etc.) instantaneously stored at the logging interval can be used to define the trigger. With the advanced module, up to five events can be programmed, each comprising a combination of logic statements (“AND” or “OR”) for several triggers (maximum of five).

24h connectivity

CUBE offers excellent connectivity, with a built-in 3G modem, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Ethernet and ADSL connections. It monitors around the clock, responds to your requests and keeps you informed of situations encountered:

  • acoustic and meteorological measurements
  • structured storage of information
  • automatic transmission of data to one or two remote servers
  • changes to parameter configuration via a Web interface from your computer or smartphone
  • real-time listening to the measured noise
  • real-time display of data
  • text message sent upon low internal battery
  • communication of alarms to 01dB WebMonitoring services

Acoustic indicators

CUBE includes all the indicators expected by acoustic engineers: Leq, Lp, 1/1 or 1/3 octave spectrum, Fast Slow… These indicators may be measured and stored on the basis of an integration period (IP) of 20 ms (min.) to 3600 s (max.) in 5 ms steps.

In addition, 01dB also offers:

  • perceived aircraft noise level: PNL and PNLT
  • equivalent sliding noise level
  • sliding statistical level
  • noise exposure level.

The latter 3 indicators are mainly used for the monitoring of construction sites for the detection of noisy phases.

Weather interface

CUBE offers the ability to interface with the VAISALA WXT520 (six sensors) and WMT52 (two sensors) stations. 01dB chose these two stations as neither features moving parts. This avoids any risk of mechanical malfunction as a result of freezing temperatures or wear. The weather station and CUBE share a power supply with a 10 m cable connecting the two units, thereby offering excellent flexibility when installing the system. Meteorological data is stored on the CUBE system and transmitted in the same way as acoustic data (WiFi, 3G modem, USB cable, etc.). The logging interval for meteorological data is a multiple of the acoustic logging interval. Using the remote interface, the user can view the wind speed and direction (and possibly additional weather data) in real time.

DMK01 external unit

The installation of a CUBE sometimes requires the use of an external microphone line. To respond to this need, 01dB offers the new DMK01 unit, that comprises:

  • stainless-steel body
  • specific preamplifier allowing the re-use of the microphone and spike supplied with CUBE
  • specific anti-wind ball
  • a dummy microphone to protect CUBE when the microphone is removed.

The unit connects to CUBE’s preamplifier input via a cable of 3 to 50 metres in length. The periodic electrical verification function remains available.
